how do you clean the condensation cup on the back? mine is gross and seems stuck on there.

— asked by Alex

DIAGNOSIS The condensation cup (drip collector) slides into a recess. It gets stuck when food debris and grease harden, acting like glue.

FIX Unplug the cooker and let it cool. Gently pry the cup forward using a dull butter knife or your fingernail at the top center notch. Once removed, wash it in warm soapy water. Use a pipe cleaner or small brush to clean the recess it slides into.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If it's truly fused, apply a few drops of white vinegar around the seam where the cup meets the body. Let it sit for 10 minutes to dissolve mineral deposits, then try prying again.

HEADS UP Clean this cup after every few uses, especially after steaming or high-moisture cooking. Overflow from a full cup can drip down into the internal electronics.
