Power isn't reaching the heating element. The issue is the plug, cord, or internal connection.
- Inspect the power cord for damage, especially near the plug and where it enters the base.
- Ensure the cord is fully plugged into both the outlet and the receptacle on the slow cooker base. It can work loose.
- Try a different, known-working outlet on a different circuit.
If that didn't work, check the removable stoneware. It must be correctly seated in the metal base. Some models have a safety switch that prevents operation if the stoneware is missing or misaligned. Push down firmly to ensure it's in place.
Heads up: If there's any visible damage to the cord or plug, or if you smell burning, do not attempt to repair it. Unplug immediately and discontinue use. Contact Crock-Pot for service.
