my crock pot cook and carry won't turn on at all, no light, nothing. checked the outlet.

Power isn't reaching the heating element. The issue is the plug, cord, or internal connection.

  1. Inspect the power cord for damage, especially near the plug and where it enters the base.
  2. Ensure the cord is fully plugged into both the outlet and the receptacle on the slow cooker base. It can work loose.
  3. Try a different, known-working outlet on a different circuit.

If that didn't work, check the removable stoneware. It must be correctly seated in the metal base. Some models have a safety switch that prevents operation if the stoneware is missing or misaligned. Push down firmly to ensure it's in place.

Heads up: If there's any visible damage to the cord or plug, or if you smell burning, do not attempt to repair it. Unplug immediately and discontinue use. Contact Crock-Pot for service.
