DIAGNOSIS Residual mix has dried and hardened inside the blade shaft and vent holes. This is a hygiene issue and can cause imbalance.
FIX Immediately after use, disassemble the blade. Twist the blade counter-clockwise to remove it from the lid. Rinse all parts under warm water. Use the provided cleaning tool or a small brush to scrub the interior shaft and the four small holes on the blade hub. Soak in warm, soapy water for 15 minutes. Rinse and air-dry fully before reassembly.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For set-in odors or residue, create a cleaning paste with baking soda and dish soap. Apply it to the blade parts with a brush. You can also soak the parts in a 50/50 water and white vinegar solution for an hour, then scrub and rinse thoroughly.
HEADS UP Never put the lid assembly in the dishwasher. Do not submerge the main base unit. A dirty blade shaft is the top cause of bad smells and can harbor bacteria. Clean it every time.
