Diagnosis
This is usually a signal-handling artifact, not a hardware fault. It happens when the soundbar receives a sudden change in audio signal or format from the source device.
How to Fix It
Mute the soundbar before switching inputs on your TV or source device. Change the input, wait 2-3 seconds for the signal to stabilize, then unmute. Also, try lowering the output volume on your source device (e.g., TV or game console) and using the soundbar remote for primary volume control.
If That Didn't Work
The issue may be source-specific. For a TV connected via HDMI ARC, disable any 'quick start' or 'fast boot' features on the TV, as they can cause improper audio handshake when powering on.
Heads Up
An occasional single pop during power on/off is normal due to capacitor charge/discharge. Consistent, loud popping during regular playback could indicate a failing component and requires service.
