Diagnosis
The camera's Pixel-Based Motion Detection is getting triggered by changes in light and shadow, not just objects. This is the biggest cause of false alerts, especially for outdoor cams facing a street or a tree.
How to Fix It
You need to tweak the Detection Zone and Sensitivity. In the app, go to the camera's settings, then Detection Settings > Detection Zone. Draw a zone that excludes the sky, busy roads, and areas with moving shadows (like from trees). Then, adjust the Sensitivity slider down—start at 70 and go lower until the false alerts stop. Also, turn off "Sound Detection" if you don't need it, as car noises can trigger events.
If That Didn't Work
If you have Cam Plus, switch to using the AI detection features (Person, Vehicle, Package) instead of general motion detection. These are *much* better at ignoring shadows and only notifying you for the things you care about. Go to Detection Settings and turn on the specific AI detections you want.
Heads Up
If the camera is physically moving (loose mount in the wind) or if a spider has built a web in front of the lens, it will see all of that as massive motion. Tighten the mount and check for webs.
