i get 'unable to print 32' error on the display, what does that even mean

DIAGNOSIS Error 32 is a communication error between the printer's main board and the laser/scanner unit. It often happens after a paper jam clear-out if something wasn't re-seated correctly, or if there's a loose connection inside.

FIX Turn the printer off and unplug it for a full two minutes. While it's off, open the front cover and remove the toner cartridge. Look inside and gently press on any flat cables or connectors you can see to ensure they're snug. Reinsert the toner cartridge firmly until it clicks. Close the cover, plug the printer back in, and power on.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The issue could be with the toner cartridge itself. A faulty cartridge can trigger this error. If you have a spare or can borrow one, try swapping in a different Brother TN-660 cartridge to see if the error clears.

HEADS UP If the error persists after a power cycle and a toner reseat/swap, it points to a more serious internal hardware fault. The next step is usually a service call, as it could be a failing laser unit or main board.
