i keep getting disconnected from wifi on the thermostat and have to keep reconnecting it in the app

DIAGNOSIS The thermostat is losing its persistent connection to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, often due to router band steering, a weak signal, or IP address conflicts.

FIX In your router settings, disable "Band Steering" or "Smart Connect". Create a separate, dedicated 2.4 GHz SSID. Connect the thermostat to this network only. Ensure the signal strength at the thermostat location is at least -67 dBm.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Assign a static IP address to the thermostat within your router's DHCP settings. Use the MAC address found in the thermostat's settings > device information. This prevents IP lease expiration issues.

HEADS UP The thermostat cannot connect to 5 GHz networks or Wi-Fi 6E's 6 GHz band. It only supports 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n.
