i'm trying to fax from my epson wf-2860 at work and it needs me to dial 9 for an outside line, how do i set that up?

You're on a PBX phone system. The printer is set by default for a standard home (PSTN) line. You need to change the Line Type and set an access code.

  1. Press the Home button on the printer.
  2. Select Settings > General Settings > Fax Settings > Basic Settings > Line Type.
  3. Select PBX.
  4. Set the switch to Use to activate the setting.
  5. Select Access Code.
  6. Use the on-screen keypad to enter the access code (like 9) and select OK.

Heads up: With this setting, the printer will automatically dial the access code (9) before dialing the fax number you enter.
