DIAGNOSIS Some warmth is normal, but excessive heat at the motor base is a sign of overwork or a failing component. The motor and battery are in that base, and they generate heat under load.
FIX First, check your blending habits. Are you running it for the full 30-40 seconds continuously on a thick mixture? That's the max. For normal use, pulse in shorter bursts (5-10 seconds) and let it rest for 20-30 seconds between blends. This allows the motor and battery to cool. Ensure you're using it within its limits—no ice crushing, fewer frozen chunks.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If it gets uncomfortably hot to the touch after a single, short blend with a liquidy mixture, the battery may be damaged or the motor bearings could be failing, causing excessive friction and heat.
HEADS UP Heat is the enemy of lithium batteries. Consistently overheating it will significantly shorten the overall lifespan. If the base is too hot to hold comfortably, stop using it and let it cool down completely before attempting another charge or blend cycle.
