Quick answer: Complete power failure points to the unit's internal fuse or a disconnect in the main power supply path.

Diagnosis

Complete power failure points to the unit's internal fuse or a disconnect in the main power supply path.

How to Fix It

Unplug the unit. Locate the fuse access panel on the back or side of the chassis. Remove the fuse holder. Inspect the 5-amp, 250-volt glass fuse. If the filament is broken, replace it with an identical 5A/250V fuse. Plug the unit back in.

If That Didn't Work

The power cord or the internal wiring connection at the control board has failed. This requires disassembly and a multimeter to test for continuity. Contact Black+Decker support for authorized repair.

Heads Up

Using an extension cord or a heavily loaded power strip can cause a voltage drop that may blow the internal fuse. Always plug the unit directly into a wall outlet rated for 115V/15A.
