DIAGNOSIS The grill's 2.4GHz-only radio can't see or join your network, usually because you're trying to connect to a 5GHz band or have a mesh system with a single SSID.

FIX Force your phone onto the 2.4GHz band before setup.

  • On your phone, go to WiFi settings and temporarily disable 'Auto-join' for your 5GHz network.
  • If you have a combined SSID, you may need to temporarily split bands into two separate networks (e.g., Home_Network and Home_Network_2G) in your router settings.
  • Ensure your phone is connected to the 2.4GHz band, then restart the grill's connection process in the app.
  • Keep the grill within strong range of your router during setup.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Perform a hard reset on the grill's controller: Unplug the grill, hold the 'Feed' and 'Power' buttons simultaneously, plug it back in while holding them, and continue holding for 10 seconds after the power light comes on. Then retry setup.

HEADS UP The grill cannot connect to guest networks, enterprise networks, or networks requiring a secondary login portal (like hotels or apartments). It needs a standard WPA2 personal network.
