DIAGNOSIS Weak or unstable Wi-Fi signal at the thermostat's location, often due to distance from the router or interference from the metal HVAC equipment.
FIX Re-run the Wi-Fi setup from the thermostat's menu, but this time, connect it to a 2.4 GHz network band. The Kono does not support 5 GHz. Ensure your router isn't using an overcrowded channel—try channels 1, 6, or 11. If possible, temporarily move the router closer to test, or install a Wi-Fi extender.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK A recent app or firmware update might have introduced a bug. Go to the thermostat, navigate to Menu > Reset, and select "Reset Wi-Fi." Then set it up again from scratch. Also, check for and install any firmware updates via the app.
HEADS UP The thermostat's built-in Wi-Fi antenna isn't the strongest. If it's mounted on a metal junction box or surrounded by thick plaster/lathe walls, signal degradation is expected. A mesh network node in the same room is the most reliable long-term solution.
