DIAGNOSIS The opener's Wi-Fi module is in pairing mode but cannot establish a connection. This is typically a network compatibility issue.
FIX Ensure your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network. The 87504-267 does not connect to 5 GHz bands. Disable any 'Smart Connect' features that merge bands. During setup in the MyQ app, when prompted, connect your phone to the opener's temporary network (starts with 'MYQ-'). Complete the process without switching apps.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The opener may be too far from the router. The Wi-Fi signal must reach the motor unit, not just the door. Consider a Wi-Fi extender. Alternatively, a power cycle can reset the module: unplug the opener for 60 seconds, then restart the setup process from the beginning.
HEADS UP The MyQ app requires you to create an account and add the opener as a new device. You cannot control it via a generic smart home app without the MyQ hub.
