Clogged sprayhead or incorrect water-to-coffee ratio. Clean the sprayhead first.
- Unplug the unit and let it cool.
- Remove the brew basket. Look up into the sprayhead (the part that drips water). Use a needle or unbent paperclip to gently clear any clogged holes.
- Run a brew cycle with only clean water (no coffee) to flush debris.
- Use the correct ratio: one level Mr. Coffee scoop of grounds per 4-6 oz cup of water.
If that didn't work: The water may not be getting hot enough due to a failing heating element. If the brewed coffee is lukewarm, the unit needs service.
Heads up: Mineral scale buildup from hard water can restrict flow and reduce temperature. Descale monthly with a vinegar solution if you have hard water.
