the "clean" light on my mr coffee bvmc-zh1b is blinking and won't turn off, how do i run the cleaning cycle?

The descale reminder is active. It requires a manual cleaning cycle to reset.

1. Fill the reservoir with a mixture of one part white vinegar to two parts water, up to the 12-cup line.
2. Place an empty filter in the basket. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
3. Press the "Clean" button. The unit will begin a brew cycle with the vinegar solution.
4. When the cycle finishes, discard the vinegar water from the carafe.
5. Rinse by running 2-3 cycles with fresh water only, using a new filter each time, until the vinegar smell is gone.

If that didn't work: If the "Clean" light persists after the vinegar cycle, the sensor may be faulty. Unplug the unit for 5 minutes to perform a hard reset.

Heads up: Do not use descaling chemicals other than white vinegar. Harsh chemicals can damage internal components and void the warranty.
