Slow output is almost always a pressure or filter issue.
Diagnosis: Check these in order of likelihood.
- Low feed water pressure from your house supply.
- Clogged pre-filters or membrane needing replacement.
- Restricted flow due to a kinked or pinched 1/4" tubing line.
Fix:
- Verify your home's incoming water pressure is within the system's operating range. The unit requires adequate pressure to function.
- Inspect all tubing from the feed connection to the faucet for kinks, especially behind the unit and under the sink.
- Confirm the storage tank has pressure. If empty, the system may be in shut-off mode due to low input pressure.
If that didn't work: The pre-filters or the RO membrane are likely exhausted and need replacement. A severely clogged filter will drastically reduce flow.
Heads up: Do not install the unit where it will be exposed to temperatures below 40°F or above 100°F, or in direct sunlight. Temperature extremes affect performance.
