Diagnosis
The unit is receiving power (indicated by the main power light), but the heating element circuit is interrupted. The missing temperature display lights confirm the internal control board is not sending power to, or receiving a signal from, the heating plates. The most common failure points are a loose connection at the heater pins or a blown thermal safety fuse on the main PCB.
How to Fix It
- Unplug the flat iron and let it cool completely.
- Using a small Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the two visible screws on the hinge plate cover.
- Gently lift and separate the top plate assembly from the lower handle/base. You will see the main circuit board and two thin, rigid ceramic pins (or wires) coming from the heating plates.
- Inspect where these heater pins plug into or solder onto the circuit board. If they are connector-type, carefully unplug and firmly reseat them. If they are soldered, check for any cracked solder joints.
- Reassemble the unit, secure the screws, plug it in, and test.
If That Didn't Work
The internal thermal cutoff fuse has likely blown. This is a non-resettable, one-time safety component soldered to the main board. You must replace the entire main circuit board. For the BaBylissPRO Nano Titanium, you can search for a replacement board using the model number (often found on a label near the hinge). If you are not comfortable with soldering or disassembly, contact BaBylissPRO customer service or a qualified small appliance repair technician.

Never bypass or short-circuit the thermal fuse. It is a critical safety device designed to cut power permanently if the iron overheats due to a thermostat failure, preventing potential fire or serious damage to the plates.
