Diagnosis
The unit has no power. The most likely culprit is a tripped thermal fuse inside the base, a common fail-safe if it overheated.
How to Fix It
Unplug it, let it cool completely for an hour, then plug it back in. If it still doesn’t power on, check your outlet with another appliance. If the outlet is fine, the internal thermal fuse has likely blown and the unit is not user-serviceable—contact Black+Decker for warranty or replacement.
If That Didn't Work
The issue could be a faulty power cord. Inspect the cord along its entire length for any kinks, cuts, or damage where it enters the unit.
Heads Up
Never submerge the base unit in water or try to open it. The heating element and electronics are housed there and are not designed for user repair.
