Diagnosis
The default motion zones and sensitivity are set to catch everything, which means they'll also catch things you don't care about. You need to fine-tune the detection area and rules.
How to Fix It
Open the Lorex app, select your camera, and find the Motion Detection settings. 1) Look for "Activity Zones" or "Detection Zones." Here, you can draw a box on the live view to tell the camera to only look for motion in specific areas, like your driveway, and ignore areas like a busy street or trees. 2) Right below that, find the sensitivity slider. Dial it down from the default (often 7 or 8) to a 4 or 5. Apply the settings and give it a day to see the difference.
If That Didn't Work
Look for an advanced setting called "Object Size" or "Min. Object Size." Increasing this tells the camera to ignore small blobs of pixels (like leaves, rain, insects) and only trigger for larger objects (like people or cars).
Heads Up
Be careful not to set the sensitivity too low or make the zone too small, or you might miss actual events you want to record. It's a balancing act that takes a little trial and error.
