You can confirm this is a control panel issue if you notice the 'Auto On' indicator light flickering or if the clock digits dim and brighten randomly without user input.
How to Fix It
To eliminate ghost brewing and recalibrate the programming logic, follow this precise sequence to hard-reset the board and clear the capacitive memory:
- Disconnect the power cord from the 120V wall outlet entirely. Do not simply flip a wall switch; physically pull the plug to ensure all capacitors on the control board discharge completely.
- Leave the unit unplugged for a minimum of 30 minutes. This clears the volatile memory (RAM) of the programmable timer.
- While the unit is unplugged, take a microfiber cloth dampened with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol.
