The forward/reverse switch (4) is likely in the locked position or you're not fully engaging the forward side.
FIX:
- First, release the speed control trigger completely.
- Look at the switch behind the trigger. To select forward rotation, depress the button on the right side of the tool.
- To select reverse, depress the button on the left side.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The switch might be centered. The center position locks the tool off. If it's in the middle, it won't run in either direction. Push it fully to the right for forward.
HEADS UP: Always set this switch to the center position when you're done using the drill, during transport, or before changing bits. This prevents accidental starting.
