my dyson animal 3 just beeps three times and shuts off when i try to use it, what's wrong?

DIAGNOSIS The vacuum is detecting a critical blockage or airflow restriction. The three-beep error code is a standard shutdown sequence for this fault.

FIX Perform a full blockage check. Turn off and unplug the vacuum. 1. Remove the wand and hose, check both tubes for obstructions. 2. Remove the clear bin and cyclone assembly. Check the bin inlet and the shroud behind it. 3. Remove the cleaner head, check the neck and the brush bar chamber. Clear any debris. Reassemble and test.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The filter may be saturated or incorrectly installed. Remove the filter located at the top of the ball. Wash it only in cold water without detergent, squeeze out water (do not wring), and let it air-dry for at least 24 hours. Ensure it is completely dry and clicked firmly into place before restarting.

HEADS UP Never run the vacuum without both filters installed and correctly seated. A missing post-motor filter will cause immediate shutdown to protect the motor.
