DIAGNOSIS The most common cause is a safety mechanism—the basket isn't fully clicked into the locked position, so the unit won't power up.
FIX Unplug the unit. Pull the basket out, then push it back in with firm, even pressure until you hear and feel a distinct click. The handle should be flush with the front of the appliance. Plug it back in. The digital display should light up immediately.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the power cord connection where it enters the back of the unit. Sometimes it can become loose from factory shipping or storage. Gently push it in to ensure a secure connection.
HEADS UP Never try to operate the air fryer with the basket removed or even slightly ajar. It's designed not to power on as a safety feature to prevent exposure to the heating element.
