DIAGNOSIS This is typically a surface contamination issue. A thin, invisible film of grease or moisture has seeped under the edges of the capacitive touch panel, interfering with its sensitivity.
FIX Ensure the unit is off, cool, and unplugged. Dampen a microfiber cloth with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and white vinegar. Wring it out completely. Wipe the entire control panel firmly in one direction. Immediately dry it with a second clean, dry microfiber cloth. Do not spray liquid directly onto the panel. Allow it to air dry for 10 minutes before use.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The problem may be internal condensation from steam. Run the unit empty on the AIR FRY function at 400°F for 10 minutes. This can evaporate any internal moisture affecting the touch sensor's grounding. Let it cool completely and test again.
HEADS UP Never use abrasive pads, glass cleaner, or alcohol-based cleaners on the touch panel. They can permanently damage the anti-glare coating and the touch sensor's sensitivity.
