my keurig k-classic won't start brewing, the 'place cup' light just keeps flashing.

The cup sensor isn't detecting a cup. First, make sure you have a cup in the right spot.

Fix:

1. Place a 10 oz coffee cup directly on the dispense area of the drip tray plate.
2. Make sure you are not using a clear, glass mug. The cup sensor will not 'read' a glass mug, and the 'Place Mug' light will keep flashing.
3. With the cup correctly placed, press the flashing BREW button.

If that didn't work:

• Check that there is water in the Hot Water Tank, filled up to the FILL LEVEL indicator.
• Ensure the brewer is powered on—the Power Button should be illuminated.

Heads up: The drip tray assembly can be removed for cleaning by sliding it toward you, keeping it level to avoid spills. Don't put the drip tray or drip tray plate in the dishwasher.
