A solid red light means the node has no internet connection from your modem.
Fix this first:
- Check the Ethernet cable connecting your primary Velop node to your modem. Ensure it's plugged into the yellow Internet port on the Velop and a LAN port on your modem.
- Power cycle your modem by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. Wait for it to fully boot.
- Power cycle your Velop node by turning the power switch off, waiting 10 seconds, then turning it back on.
If that didn't work:
- Try a different Ethernet cable, preferably CAT5e or higher.
- If you're setting up a child node with a solid red light, it means it's too far from the parent node or the parent node has lost its connection to the modem. Move the child node closer.
Heads up: The node must operate within 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F). Extreme temperatures can affect connectivity.
