You're likely releasing the button too soon. The sequence is specific.
Correct method:
- Ensure the node is powered on.
- Locate the Reset button on the bottom.
- Press and hold it. The top light will turn red and fade in pulses.
- Keep holding. Do not release until the light goes out completely and then turns bright red solid.
- Then release. The node will reboot to factory defaults.
If that didn't work:
- Confirm the power switch on the bottom is slid to the "on" position.
- Try using a different tool, like a paperclip, to ensure you're fully depressing the button.
Heads up: A factory reset erases everything—Wi-Fi name, password, all settings. You must set the system up again from scratch via the app. Only do this if absolutely necessary.
