can i plug a usb printer into my linksys velop router?

— asked by Dave

No. The USB 3.0 port is for connecting and sharing USB drives only. It does not support peripherals like printers, scanners, or cameras.

Use it only for local file sharing via a USB drive. The port does not support FTP, media servers, or virtualUSB.

If you need network printing, connect the printer directly to a computer on the network and share it, or use a printer with built-in Ethernet or Wi-Fi and connect it to your Velop network.
