How to Fix It

- Test with a different battery: Even if your battery shows "full" on the charger, a dead cell inside the pack can prevent the tool from booting. Try a known-working BL1840 or BL1850 pack. If the saw works with a different battery, your original pack has a failed internal circuit board or a dead cell.
- Inspect the Trigger Switch: If you have a multimeter, check for continuity across the trigger switch. If the switch is not closing the circuit when pulled, the internal spring or plastic actuator may have snapped. This is a common failure if the tool was dropped while the trigger was depressed.
- Check for Overload Trip: The brushless controller has an electronic overload protection system. If the tool was jammed during the last use, it may be in a "protection mode." Leave the battery out for 30 minutes to allow the capacitors to fully discharge, then try again.
- Examine the Battery Terminal Springs: Look inside the saw's battery port. If one of the copper tension pins is recessed or bent, it won't make contact with the battery. Carefully use a small pick to ensure the pins are springy and protruding correctly.
