Alternatively, the unit may have entered a "hard lock" state due to a power surge or an improper shutdown, causing the logic board to freeze in a non-responsive state. You can confirm this by checking the LED indicator panel; if there are no lights at all upon plugging the device into a known-working 120V outlet (tested with another lamp or charger), the problem is either a blown internal fuse, a faulty power cord, or a triggered safety mechanism.
How to Fix It
Follow these precise steps to restore power to your MOOKA air purifier:
- Verify Power Source: Unplug the unit and plug in a different device (like a phone charger) to the same wall socket to ensure the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Avoid using surge protectors or extension cords for this test, as the high-wattage motor can sometimes trigger a protector's internal trip.
- Reset the Safety Interlock: Power down the unit. Open the filter compartment door completely, remove the HEPA filter, and inspect the area for any debris or plastic packaging fragments. Re-insert the filter firmly and close the door with a distinct "click" sound. If the door is not flush against the frame, the unit will not power on.
- Perform a Hard Power Cycle: Unplug the power cord from the wall. Wait exactly 30 seconds to allow the capacitors on the PCB to discharge fully. Plug the unit directly into a wall outlet.
- Initialization Sequence: Upon plugging in, look for the "flash" of the control panel LEDs. You should hear a single beep and see the indicators light up for 3 seconds. This indicates the unit is in standby mode.
