The solid magenta LED on the satellite indicates a sync failure with the router.
- Power cycle the satellite. Unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in.
- Press the Sync button on the router, then within two minutes, press the Sync button on the satellite. The satellite LED should blink blue while syncing, then turn solid white.
- Ensure the satellite is placed within the router's range, away from major obstructions and interference sources like microwaves or cordless phone bases.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The satellite might be too far from the router. Move it closer and try the sync process again. If it still fails, perform a factory reset on the satellite using the recessed Reset button on the back. Hold it for at least 10 seconds with a paperclip until the LED flashes amber.
HEADS UP: A solid magenta light can also mean the satellite is not getting power. Check that the power connector is fully seated and the outlet is working.
