DIAGNOSIS: You're likely using coffee that's ground too finely for the permanent filter.
FIX:
- Switch to a slightly coarser grind of coffee. A medium grind is recommended.
- Alternatively, you can use a paper filter inside the permanent filter basket.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Do not use both a paper filter and the permanent filter at the same time. This can cause grounds to clog and water to back up. Use one or the other.
HEADS UP: Sediment is a common issue with fine grounds and permanent filters. Adjusting your grind size is the most effective solution.
