Diagnosis
A complete lack of power, with a known-good outlet, means the issue is internal to the power base—likely a blown thermal fuse or a severed internal wire.
How to Fix It
1) Check the power cord where it enters the base of the unit. Gently wiggle it and look for any fraying, kinks, or damage. 2) Try a different power cord if you have a compatible one (look for one with the same barrel connector). Many small appliances use similar cords. 3) If you have a multimeter, you can check for continuity in the cord. If you don't, borrowing a friend's cord is the easiest test.
If That Didn't Work
If the cord is good, the problem is inside the base. The NutriBullet has a thermal fuse that cuts power permanently if the motor overheats severely (like from the burnt plastic scenario we talked about earlier). This is a safety feature, but it's not user-resettable or replaceable without extensive disassembly.
Heads Up
These bases are not repairable in a practical sense for most folks. Your best course is to contact NutriBullet customer support if it's under warranty. They often ask for a photo of the cut-off label on the bottom of the base. If it's out of warranty, you're looking at buying a new power base.
