Diagnosis
The door hinge springs are misaligned or the door is out of adjustment. The springs provide the counterbalance.
How to Fix It
Open the door fully. Look at the hinge arms on both sides where they connect to the range body. The springs should be seated in their notches. If one has popped out, use pliers to carefully hook it back into place. If springs are seated, the door may need adjustment. Loosen (do not remove) the two screws on each hinge arm that attach it to the range cabinet. Gently move the door up/down/left/right to re-center it, then retighten the screws evenly.
If That Didn't Work
The door gasket (seal) might be misaligned or folded over, creating drag. Inspect the entire rubber seal around the door frame. Ensure it's flat and seated in its channel.
Heads Up
The door is heavy. Have someone support it while you loosen the hinge screws. Do not remove the door unless necessary; it's awkward and the glass can break.
