my oven just beeps three times and shuts off in the middle of cooking, power light is still on

DIAGNOSIS That's the oven's safety thermostat tripping because it thinks things are overheating. The most common cause is a blocked exhaust vent, causing hot air to back up inside the unit.

FIX Check the ventilation path. 1) Unplug the oven and let it cool. 2) Look at the top-rear of the oven cavity—you'll see the vent slots. 3) Use a flashlight to check if those slots are clogged with grease, crumbs, or (commonly) a piece of melted plastic from a container that got too close. 4) Clean them out using a soft brush, like a clean paintbrush or a pipe cleaner. 5) Also, ensure the oven is not pushed flush against the wall. You need several inches of space behind it for the hot air to escape.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the vents are clear and it's still tripping, the internal safety thermostat itself might be faulty or overly sensitive. This is a repair issue. The repeated tripping and resetting can be hard on the components, so it's best to get it looked at.

HEADS UP Never use those oven liner mats or place aluminum foil on the floor of this oven. They can completely block the critical bottom air intake and exhaust flow, causing this exact overheat shutdown.
