Diagnosis
The Child Lock feature may be inadvertently activated. When Child Lock is on, the unit will automatically power down after 8 hours of continuous operation as a safety precaution.
How to Fix It
Check the control panel. If the Child Lock icon (a padlock symbol) is illuminated, the auto-shutoff is active. To disable, press and hold the 'Light' button and 'Fan Speed Down' button simultaneously for 3 seconds. The padlock icon will turn off.
If That Didn't Work
A faulty power connection can cause intermittent shutdowns. Ensure the DC plug is fully seated in the unit's port and the wall adapter is firmly plugged in. Try a different wall outlet.
Heads Up
The 8-hour auto-shutoff is a default safety feature when Child Lock is enabled. It is not a malfunction. Refer to the indicator lights to confirm the unit's status before assuming an error.
