Diagnosis

The Wi-Fi connection on these can be finicky, especially after a router change, firmware update, or if the grill is just on the edge of your network's range.

How to Fix It

Go through the re-pairing process. On the grill's controller, hold the Wi-Fi button until the light flashes. Open the Recteq app, go to settings, and select 'Add New Grill.' Follow the prompts—it'll have you connect your phone directly to the grill's own network (something like 'Recteq-XXXX') first, then switch it back to your home Wi-Fi.

If That Didn't Work

The grill's 2.4 GHz-only Wi-Fi module doesn't play nice with modern routers that combine 2.4 and 5 GHz into one network name (SSID). You might need to temporarily disable the 5 GHz band on your router or create a separate 2.4 GHz-only network just for the grill.

Heads Up

Once it drops, it can be stubborn to reconnect. Sometimes deleting the grill from the app entirely and starting fresh is more reliable than trying to fix the existing connection.
