my robot just randomly starts a cleaning job in the middle of the night, it's creepy

DIAGNOSIS This is usually a scheduling glitch in the app, or the robot is losing Wi-Fi and defaulting to a previous schedule stored in its memory.

FIX Open the SharkClean app and go to the Schedule section. Delete ALL scheduled cleaning times. Then, force-close the app and restart it. Check the schedule again to confirm it's empty. Also, check for any routines you might have set up with Alexa or Google Home that could be triggering it.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Perform a Wi-Fi reset on the robot. In the app, remove the robot from your account. Then set it up again as if it were new, reconnecting it to your network. This clears any corrupted schedule data stored on the robot itself.

HEADS UP If your Wi-Fi is unstable, the robot can act unpredictably. For a temporary fix, you can always just flip the physical power switch on the side of the robot to OFF when you don't want any surprises.
