Diagnosis
The "No Signal" message on your Sansui 24-inch monitor, despite the power light being on, indicates the monitor is functional but not receiving a usable video signal from your computer. This is almost always caused by a connection issue, an incorrect input setting on the monitor, or a problem with the source computer's graphics output.
How to Fix It
- Ensure your computer is fully booted. Listen for fans or check for keyboard lights.
- Power cycle both devices: turn off the monitor, shut down the computer, unplug both from power for 30 seconds, then reconnect and power them on in sequence (computer first, then monitor).
- Check the physical HDMI connection. Unplug the cable from both the monitor and computer, inspect for bent pins, and firmly reseat it.
- Manually select the correct input. Use the monitor's joystick or buttons to open the OSD menu, navigate to the Input Source option, and explicitly select the specific HDMI port (e.g., HDMI 1) your cable is using.
- Test with a different, known-good HDMI cable.
If That Didn't Work
Try isolating the problem. Connect the monitor to a different video source, like a gaming console or laptop, using the same cable. If it works, the issue is with your original computer. On that computer, try a different video port (like another HDMI or DisplayPort) or update/reinstall your graphics drivers. If the monitor still shows "No Signal" with any source, there may be an internal hardware fault.
Heads Up
If your computer has both integrated graphics and a dedicated graphics card, ensure your monitor is connected to the correct video outputs (typically the ones on the dedicated GPU). Also, some older PCs may not output a signal until you log into Windows; try pressing a key if you see a login screen.
