my shark duo clean just stopped picking up stuff on my carpet, it's like the brush roll isn't even spinning.

DIAGNOSIS The brush roll has lost power or is obstructed. The most common cause is the vacuum switching to Hard Floor mode, which deactivates the brush roll motor.

FIX First, check the mode selector on the pod. Ensure it is set to 'CARPET', not 'HARD FLOOR'. If set correctly, power off and unplug the vacuum. Remove the pod from the floor nozzle. Inspect the brush roll for hair and debris wrap. Clear any obstructions. Reassemble and test.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The brush roll may have overheated and tripped its thermal cut-off. Unplug the vacuum completely and let it sit for 45-60 minutes to cool down. Plug it back in and test. A persistent failure indicates a faulty brush roll motor or a wiring issue in the floor nozzle.

HEADS UP The mode switch is sensitive. The pod can easily get bumped into Hard Floor mode when maneuvering under furniture, causing immediate loss of carpet cleaning performance.
