DIAGNOSIS The machine is likely stuck in its initial startup or 'dry' protection mode. It won't start the ice-making cycle if it doesn't detect enough water in the reservoir, even if it's brand new.
FIX Yeah, this one's common with the initial setup. First, make sure the water reservoir is clicked all the way into the back of the unit—it can feel seated but not be fully locked. Then, fill it with water past the 'MAX' line. Finally, press and hold the 'Power/Select' button for 3-5 seconds until you hear the pump start to gurgle. That manually triggers the fill cycle. It should start making ice within about 6-8 minutes after that.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check if the ice basket is pushed all the way down. There's a sensor in the basket slot; if the basket isn't fully seated, the machine thinks it's full and won't cycle. Give it a firm press until it clicks at the bottom.
HEADS UP The first few batches of ice will likely be small, cloudy, or oddly shaped. That's normal. It takes a few cycles for the system to stabilize and make full, clear cubes.
