When the voltage drops below a critical threshold, the device enters a "protection mode" where the power button becomes unresponsive. This often happens if the unit has sat unused for several weeks or if it was left on standby while the battery was nearly empty. Because the T50M Pro lacks a physical LED power indicator on the exterior of the chassis, users often assume the device is dead when it is simply in a low-voltage state. Another frequent cause is a failure in the charging circuit caused by using "Fast Charge" or "Quick Charge" (QC 3.0/4.0) wall bricks. These high-wattage adapters can sometimes trigger the over-voltage protection circuit in the T50M Pro, effectively locking the device out of the charging cycle to prevent battery swelling. You can confirm this by attempting to power the device while connected to a low-amperage port, such as a laptop USB 2.0 port; if the device responds only when plugged in, the battery is likely depleted or the charging brick is incompatible. Finally, check the tape cassette compartment. The T50M Pro features a safety interlock mechanism.
