Diagnosis
The logic board is getting power (light works) but is not sending the signal to engage the motor. A failed logic board capacitor or a dead wall control button are the top suspects.
How to Fix It
Test the wall control first. Bypass it by pressing the 'learn' button on the motor unit itself. If the motor runs from the learn button, the wall control or its wiring is faulty. Replace the wall control unit.
If That Didn't Work
The logic board has failed. Look for a bulging or leaking capacitor on the board. This is a common failure point. The entire logic board assembly must be replaced.
Heads Up
Before replacing the board, disconnect power at the breaker for 5 minutes. Reconnect. This can sometimes reset a tripped internal breaker on the logic board.
