This blocks device-to-device communication. Disable these features in your router settings for the printer's connection. HEADS UP Canon PRINT app is more reliable than native AirPrint for this model. If AirPrint fails, use the Canon app as your primary print driver for mobile.

the touch buttons on the oled screen don't respond or i have to press them ten times.

the scanner makes a loud knocking sound and won't go home when i try to copy something.

Check the white plastic belt above it for any twists or disengagement. Ensure it's seated on the pulleys. Plug the printer back in. It should re-home. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The scanner unit's position sensor is faulty. The unit doesn't know where it is. This requires a full scanner assembly replacement. HEADS UP Never force the scanner carriage. If it doesn't move smoothly with light pressure, stop. Forcing it can break the stepper motor shaft.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The carriage assembly rail is dry. Unplug the printer. Move the printhead carriage by hand to the center. Apply one drop of white lithium grease to the metal rod. If it works, add an exception for your printer's IP address in your security software. HEADS UP Setting a static IP for the printer in your router settings prevents this. Do it from your router's admin page, not the printer.

my ts6520 just shows 'check ink' and won't print even though the cartridges are full, what gives?

Let it air dry for two minutes. Reinstall cartridges firmly until they click. Close the cover and power on. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK One cartridge chip may have failed. Swap the suspect cartridge to a different slot. If the error follows the cartridge, replace it. If the error stays in the same slot, the printhead carriage circuit board needs service. HEADS UP Never use isopropyl alcohol on the optical sensor window. It can cloud the plastic and make the problem permanent.
