IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Re-link the thermostat to your account. In the app, remove the device. Then re-add it using the Setup Code found on the thermostat under Menu > Wi-Fi > About. HEADS UP A 'Temporary Hold' set on the thermostat will override the schedule until the next scheduled change. Always use 'Run Schedule' to return to normal.

The buzzing is a physical vibration of components. Contact Emerson support. They are aware of this issue in some early production runs. HEADS UP Do not open the thermostat case. It needs at least two bars. Relocate your router or use a Wi-Fi extender. Avoid mounting the thermostat on an exterior wall with metal studs. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Your router's DHCP lease time may be too short. Log into your router and set the DHCP lease time to 8 hours or more. Also, disable 'AP isolation' or 'client isolation' on your router's Wi-Fi settings. HEADS UP A dual-band router? Force the thermostat to connect to the 2.4 GHz network only. The Sensi Touch does not support 5 GHz bands.

DIAGNOSIS The thermostat is not detecting the actual equipment state. This is a wiring or configuration issue at the thermostat. FIX Go to Menu > Installation & Wiring > Equipment. Select 'Reconfigure Equipment'. Run through the setup wizard again. It will test each wire (Y, G, W, etc.) for voltage. This recalibrates its detection circuit. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The relay on the furnace control board that corresponds to the stuck signal (Y for cool, W for heat) may be fused shut. You'll need a multimeter to test for 24VAC at the thermostat terminals when the system is 'off'. HEADS UP A fused relay on the furnace board requires a pro to replace the board or relay. Do not attempt if you're not experienced with line voltage.

If no C wire, you need to install one at your furnace control board and run it to the thermostat. IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the furnace/air handler. The control board fuse may be blown. Look for a 3-5 amp automotive-style fuse on the board. Replace it if blown. HEADS UP Never connect or disconnect wires with the breaker on. You can damage the thermostat or furnace control board.
