printer says 'drum life end' with a flashing error light, can i still use it for a while?

DIAGNOSIS The machine's drum unit life counter has reached its limit. The printer will enter a service mode and refuse all print jobs until the counter is reset or the unit is replaced.

FIX Reset the drum counter. Open the front cover. Press the 'Go' button 3 times. The Ready, Data, and Drum LEDs will light. Close the front cover. The drum life counter is now reset to 100%.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the procedure fails, the drum unit may be physically damaged or the reset sensor is obstructed. Remove the drum unit, inspect for scratches or toner spills on the green imaging drum, and clean it gently with a lint-free cloth.

HEADS UP Resetting the counter does not repair a physically worn drum. If print quality issues like streaks or faint prints appear after the reset, the drum unit (DR-2350) requires physical replacement.
