Diagnosis
The plug lost its connection to the Kasa cloud at the scheduled time. If the plug is offline in the app, cloud-based schedules and Away Mode will fail.
How to Fix It
First, ensure the plug has a stable WiFi connection (solid green light). If it's intermittently offline, fix the signal issue. Second, verify the schedule is still active in the Kasa app—sometimes updates can glitch and delete them.
If That Didn't Work
Recreate the schedule from scratch. Delete the faulty schedule in the Kasa app and create a new one with the same parameters. This often clears a corrupted timer command.
Heads Up
Schedules and Away Mode require both local WiFi and the Kasa cloud to be reachable. If your internet goes down, the plug will continue its last on/off state but won't execute new scheduled changes until connectivity is restored.
