DIAGNOSIS The stainless steel blades have become dull through normal wear. Blending hard, abrasive ingredients like ice, coffee beans, or frozen fruit accelerates blade edge rounding.
FIX Blade sharpening is not recommended or feasible for this integrated, sealed blade assembly. Replace the blade assembly unit. It is sold as a single part including the blade, shaft, and washer. Order the correct part for your specific cup size (17oz or 23oz).
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Poor blending performance can also be caused by insufficient motor speed. Ensure you are using the high-speed setting for ice. Add a small amount of liquid to the cup to help initiate vortex and draw ingredients into the blades.
HEADS UP Do not attempt to sharpen the blades yourself. The blade assembly is precisely balanced. Improper sharpening or disassembly will create vibration and imbalance, leading to motor damage and potential cup failure.
