Diagnosis
A flashing amber light on the charger indicates a charging error. The connection between the handle and charger base is faulty.
How to Fix It
1. Unplug the charger from the wall for 30 seconds.
2. Wipe the metal charging contacts on both the handle bottom and the inside of the charger base with a dry cloth.
3. Ensure no debris, toothpaste, or hair is on the contacts.
4. Re-plug the charger. Place the handle squarely on the base. The light should be solid or flashing white during normal charging.
If That Didn't Work
Try a different wall outlet. If the amber flash persists, the charger base is likely defective. The 4100 uses a specific inductive charger (Qi incompatible). You need the exact Philips replacement.
Heads Up
Never place the handle on the base while either is wet. This is the most common cause of contact corrosion and charging errors.
