DIAGNOSIS The descale reminder is active. The machine is programmed to trigger this alert after approximately 300 brew cycles.
FIX To clear the alert, you must initiate a descaling cycle. Press and hold the "Clean" button for 3 seconds until it beeps and stays illuminated. The machine will now run a descaling cycle when you start a brew. Fill the reservoir with a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water. Place an empty carafe on the warmer. Press "Brew". After the cycle, run two full cycles with clean water.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the "Clean" light continues to flash after a completed cycle, the sensor or counter may be faulty. Unplug the machine for 5 minutes to perform a hard reset.
HEADS UP Do not use descaling solutions containing sulfuric acid. They can damage the internal aluminum components. Use only citric acid or white vinegar solutions.
